It seems like winter just won’t go away this year. There’s about 3″ of fresh snow on the ground at the shop and it’s still snowing. The forecast is calling for the snow to stop by mid-morning with a high temp of 45 degrees and winds out of the NW at 5-10 mph. There were some anglers out on the water yesterday, but we did not get any reports as they left the river. The clarity at Shehawken looked good last night. It looks like it will be another day of streamers and/or nymphs if you make it out today.
Hatching:
Little Black Stoneflies – #14-18
Blue Wing Olives – #18 – 20
Midges – #18-24
