River Report / Conditions – June 3rd, 2018

June 3, 2018, Author: Patrick Cook
All smiles when you’re on the boat with guide Ryan Furtak

The Main and East seemed to fish the best yesterday. The West Branch was spotty throughout the day, and the Sulphurs never seem to get going. We are hearing more reports of Drakes being spotted on the Main and East. The Green Drakes and March Browns  on the Beaverkill are hatching in good numbers. The forecast for today is calling for a high of 62 and low of 49 with considerable cloudiness and occasional rain. The wind will be from the SE at 10-15 MPH. Tomorrows forecast is very similar but with a south wind at 5 – 10MPH.

Hatching:

Tan caddis – #16-18

Blue Wing Olives – #14–24

Blue Quills – #16-18

March Brown #10-12

Sulphurs #14-16

Green Drakes #10 – 12

Isonychia #12
