River Report / Conditions – July 21, 2018

July 21, 2018, Author: Patrick Cook
Joe D getting some mid day Sulphur activity

If you’re looking for early morning action, we’ve had good reports of Tricos on the West and Upper East. Nymphing or swinging wets is always a safe bet in between hatches. Iso wets in particular are going to be productive in the riffles. We’re still seeing that mid day Sulphur and Olive hatch mid day. I had many fish take my Iso during the Sulphur hatch last night. Be sure to have Iso spinners. Stop in the shop and I’ll show you some of my favorite Iso patterns.  The forecast for today is calling for 78/61 with cloudy skies and a slight chance of rain. The wind will come from the SE at 10-15 mph.

Hatching:

Sulphurs #14-#18

BWO #14-#22

Tan Caddis #14-#18

Dark Blue Sedge #14

Spotted Sedge #16-18

Iso #10-#12

Vitreus #14-16

Cahills #12 – #14
