River Report / Conditions – August 21, 2018

August 21, 2018, Author: Patrick Cook

I did an after work streamer float with Diana last night, and fishing was stellar. The West Branch has a perfect tint to it. I saw lots of Olives, some Cahills and Iso spinners. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any risers. The West Branch is unwadeable at these flows, but it is dropping.    Cannonsville continues to spill putting warm water into the system. As of right now the water temps are still safe on the West Branch.  Pepacton is also still spilling making it unsafe to fish for trout.  The release out of Cannonsville remains at 1500cfs. Today’s forecast is calling for  a high/low of 69*/66* with rain showers and winds out of NW at 11mph.

Hatching:

Tan Caddis #14-#18
