River Report / Conditions – August 24, 2018

August 24, 2018, Author: Patrick Cook

Many anglers reported a good day with lots of dry fly targets, and fish still willing to eat streamers. As the water clears I follow a simple rule of thumb when it comes to streamer selection. The clearer the water, the lighter color fly you use.  The water has cleared up nicely and the fish are comfortable with these high flows.    The release out of Cannonsville remains at 1500cfs. Today’s forecast is calling for  a high/low of 69*/56* with partly sunny skies and SE winds at 15-30 mph.
