River Report / Conditions – October 10, 2018

October 10, 2018, Author: Frank Rosata

Despite high and off color water the entire system including the Main has been fishing very well. Lots of dry fly action with the primary fly of choice being Isonychias. The Beaverkill is a great option to wade.   If you’re wading the Delaware system find the soft spots on the edges for dry fly fishing.   If you’re streamer fishing from the banks cast out on a 45* angle downstream, let it swing into the banks and strip upstream.  Today’s forecast is calling for  a high/low of  75*/59* with cloudy skies and a chance of afternoon showers.   The wind will come from the WNW at 5-10 mph.
