Flows were bumped substantially yesterday on the West which brought a bunch of debris down with it. Most anglers opted for the Main and had good success. It seems the Trout are finally moving back into their normal lies on the Main. Be sure to have some Whitefly patterns if you plan to fish the evenings on the Main. The rest of the systems main bugs are Olives and Iso’s. I’ve been seeing a lot more caddis and very shortly they will start to play a much bigger role in the dryfly game. As it is now, I wouldn’t be without your go to caddis patterns. A low riding buggy pattern (I.E. The bubbleback caddis) has done very well for me this time of year. Especially with those early morning garbage pickers. Be sure to keep an eye out for Olives Spinners early morning as well.
Hatching:
Trico #20 – 24
BWO #16-24
Sulphurs #20-22
