River Report / Conditions – April 3, 2018

April 3, 2018, Author: Patrick Cook

The weather and fishing definitely improved by mid morning yesterday.  The anglers we spoke with reported having a good day fishing streamers on the West Branch and Main Stem.  Everyone I spoke with reported several quality fish brought to the net.  The insect activity also seemed to improve yesterday with some little black stoneflies, BWO’s and midges, but the fish still don’t seem ready to consistently take anything off of the surface.  The weather forecast is calling for periods of rain with the possibility of snow or sleet mixing in.  Wind is forecast to be SSE at 10-15 mph.

Little Black Stoneflies – #14-18
Blue Wing Olives – #18 – 24

Midges – #18-24
