The reports we got from yesterday indicated a good day on the water. Most anglers reported good hatches of Hendricksons, Apple Caddis and Blue Quills and they had at least a few targets. There were also a few spinners around last night. The upper Main Stem seems to be the most consistent at this point, but as a result, it is seeing a lot of pressure. The fish are unusually picky for this early in the year so a good presentation is essential. The forecast for today is calling for sunny skies with a high of 78 degrees and winds out of the ENE at 5-10 mph.
Hatching:
Little Black Stoneflies – #14-18
Black caddis – #16-18
Blue Wing Olives – #18–24
Blue Quills – #16-18
Hendricksons #12-#14
Apple Caddis #14-16
Quill Gordon #12-#14 (Sporadic)
