A nice cool cloudy day is expected today. Unfortunately they’re are only calling for about a 1/4″ of rain. The entire west is fishing well, I’d expect hatches to last a bit longer today and start a little earlier. Reports from the East have been good as well. Water is very low and clear, but it adds another level of difficulty to notorious spooky fish. If you’re going to fish the Upper Main, I’d still have a thermometer on hand. Nymphing and swinging wets have been a good choice between hatches. Dry dropper over riffles are also a great idea. Small #14 stimulators or larger caddis #12 are good options for dries. The forecast for today is calling for 67/62 with cloudy skies and scattered t-storms and a SE winds at 5-10 mph.
