This season feels as though the weather reports have taken precedent over the fishing reports, but its finally starting to feel a lot more like May on the Upper Delaware.
The East Branch, West Branch, and Main Stem are all currently wadeable, with Hendricksons and Blue Quills still present throughout the system. Spinners are falling in the afternoons and evenings under the right conditions. March Browns are starting to show on the main, with fish responding enthusiastically. The warm weather ahead should have them moving up through the system. Good numbers of Apple Caddis are being reported as well. This means having a nice Spent Caddis pattern in size 14 – 18 can be crucial over the coming weeks.
Today we are looking at a high of 77 degrees here in Starlight, with a few clouds early, followed by some showers and potential thunderstorms this afternoon. Wind blowing SW at 13-20 mph.
We are still closed to the public in conjunction with the current PA regulations, but shipping daily from our online store: https://whitetail-fly-
